Une Lueur Dans L'Oeil (Eye Light), London Eye

No need really to introduce the London Eye (on the 5th of June 2008, it was announced that 30 million had ridden the London Eye since its opening in March 2000). The lamp post is one of the newly renovated Westminster bridge's lamp posts.

Seriously, I had done so many images of ferris wheel. Nothing is like this one. You had the green streetlamp in the middle creating a stunning image using the ferris wheel as a backdrop.

The green is sophisticated like emerald and the texture works well against the monotonous background

They have just renovated Westminster Bridge and the lamp posts, and they are painted predominantly green as you can see. Green Emerald is the same colour as the leather seats in the House of Commons which is on the side of the Palace of Westminster nearest the bridge. This is in contrast to Lambeth Bridge which is red, the same colour as the seats in the House of Lords and is on the opposite side of the Houses of Parliament.
The sun was hitting the lamp post and the London Eye, but indeed there was such a dark and stromy sky behind !

Wow.. a perfect moment with the light just catching the lamp and the wheel against the heavy, dark clouds. One of the coolest images of the London Eye that I've seen!
