This photo was taken on the Lindengracht Market (Saturday food and flowers market), next to the Noordermarkt Market in Amsterdam.
Lindengracht which translates into English as the lime tree canal, has been filled up during the modernization of the city at the end of the 19th Century, and turned into the wide street with two rows of the huge lime trees in the middle. Each Saturday, 232 market stands are built along the whole street. Lindenmarkt - originally just a Jordaan neighborhood market, exists since 1895 and since 1922 it is so called day market – it is open up into the late afternoon hours. Today, together with the nearby Farmer’s Market on the Nordermarkt, (both open on Saturday), Lindenmarkt is probably the best food market in Amsterdam.

Broadway, as the name implies, is a wide avenue in New York City, which runs the full length of Manhattan and continues into the Bronx. It is the oldest north–south main thoroughfare in the city, dating to the first New Amsterdam settlement. The name Broadway is the English literal translation of the Dutch name, Breede weg. A stretch of Broadway is famous as the pinnacle of the American theater industry.

This photo was taken in Times Square, a major intersection in Manhattan, New York, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue and stretching from West 42nd to West 47th Streets. The Times Square area consists of the blocks between Sixth and Eighth Avenues from east to west, and West 40th and West 53rd Streets from south to north, making up the western part of the commercial area of Midtown Manhattan.
Formerly named Longacre Square, Times Square was renamed after the Times Building (now One Times Square) in April 1904. Times Square, nicknamed "The Crossroads of the World," has achieved the status of an iconic world landmark and has become a symbol of New York City. Times Square is principally defined by its spectaculars, animated, digital advertisements.

This is the photo of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), a stock exchange located at 11 Wall Street in lower Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.

The main building, located at 18 Broad Street, between the corners of Wall Street and Exchange Place, was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978, as was the 11 Wall Street building.

Great White Pelican, Walvis Bay, Namibia

These are two photos of a Pelican, a large water bird with a distinctive pouch under the beak, belonging to the bird family Pelecanidae, of a Great White Pelican to be precised (Pelecanus onocrotalus also known as the Eastern White Pelican or White Pelican). This is a large pelican, at a mass of 10 kg, 160 cm long and with a 280 cm wingspan. It differs from the Dalmatian Pelican, the only larger species of pelican, by its pure white, rather than greyish-white, plumage, a bare pink facial patch around the eye and pinkish legs. Males are larger than females, and have a long beak that grows in a downwards arc, as opposed to the shorter, straighter beak of the female. In flight, it is an elegant soaring bird, with the head held close to and aligned with the body by a downward bend in the neck as you can see below. Photos were taken in Walvis Bay, in Namibia.

Paramount Building, New York City

This is a photo of the Paramount Theatre which was a noted movie palace located at 43rd Street and Broadway in the Times Square district of New York City. Opened in 1926, it was the premiere showcase for Paramount Pictures and also a live performance venue before it was gutted and converted to office and retail space in 1965. The office building housing it, a thirty-three story office tower influenced by the Art Deco style, known as the Paramount Building, remains a Times Square landmark. To this day, the Paramount Building is known for its large four-faced clock near the top of the pyramidial structure, and an ornamental globe at the very top of the building.

Pointe du Raz (Beg ar Raz), Ile de Sein (Enez Sun) and Phare de la Vieille, Brittany, France

This is a photo of the Pointe du Raz, a promontory that extends into the Atlantic from western Brittany, in France.
It is named after the Raz de Sein, the dangerous stretch of water between it and the island of Sein (Enez Sun in Breton). It is a dramatic place of crashing waves and strong winds.
You can see the Phare de la Vieille (Vieille lighthouse), built between 1882 and 1887 on the rock known as la Gorlebella (Breton for "the farthest rock"), it illuminates and improves the safety of the strait Raz de Sein, across from the companion (yellow) lighthouse Tourelle de la Plate. The so-called "hell" of this lighthouse is due to its remote position in rough seas.
The architecture of the Vieille was designed to be aesthetically pleasing, and also chosen to minimise confusion with the nearby tower Tévennec. Thus the lighthouse's shape is a squat quadrilateral, with slight crenellations. The tower is square and semi-cylindrical on the north face, broadening towards the base. The structure of the lighthouse was constructed from grey granite quarried from the Ile de Sein, while the tower and the corners of the building were built from coated cinder blocks of blue granite, from Kersanton.

Fernsehturm, Berlin, Germany

This is a photo of the The Fernsehturm (German for "television tower"), a television tower in the city centre of Berlin, Germany. Close to Alexanderplatz and part of the World Federation of Great Towers (WFGT), the tower was constructed between 1965 and 1969 by the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) administration who intended it as a symbol of Berlin, which it remains today, as it is easily visible throughout the central and some suburban districts of Berlin.

Fur Seals, Cape Cross Seal Reserve, Namibia

This photo is showing a Brown Fur Seal (also known as the Cape Fur Seal) and was taken at Cape Cross Seal Reserve, in Namibia.
With a surrounding area of 60 km2, the Cape Cross Seal Reserve was proclaimed in 1968 to protect the biggest and best known of the 23 colonies of Cape fur seals which breed along the coast of South Africa and Namibia. The reserve is situated approximately 130 km north of Swakopmund, and 1,000 miles from the southern tip of Africa. The Cape fur seal, Arctocephalus pusillus pusillus, is the largest of the world's nine fur seal species. During the November/ December breeding season as many as 340 000 of these animals gather at Cape Cross at one time.
It was here at Cape Cross that the Portuguese navigator Diogo Cão, on his second expedition to Africa south of the equator, erected a stone cross in 1486. Two replicas of this cross can presently be viewed at the site where the original one was erected. Also at Cape Cross is a small lichen reserve, where a relatively large variety of these interesting and slow-growing organisms are protected. Bird islands off the coast at the seal reserve are also protected.

Luang Pho To or Phrasiariyametri, Wat Intharawihan or Wat Intharavihan (วัดอินทรวิหาร), Bangkok, Thailand

These are two photos of a 32-metre high, 10-meter wide standing Buddha, referred to as Luang Pho To or Phrasiariyametri. It took over 60 years to complete and is decorated in glass mosaics and 24-carat gold. The topknot of the Buddha image contains a relic of Lord Buddha brought from Sri Lanka.
It is located in Wat Intharawihan or Wat Intharavihan (วัดอินทรวิหาร), which is a wat located in the Nakhon District of Bangkok, Thailand. It was built at the beginning of the Ayutthaya period and was originally called Wat Rai Phrik.
